Tong Peal are Europes largest producer of grading screens - Each screen is hand prepared from the weaving of each strand of wire to the making of the joining clips and then the assembly of the finished screen. Tong Peal grading screens can be manufactured to any width or length required.

Square Mesh Metal Screens - These are used primarily for grading potatoes. The screen is constructed using 4mm diameter galvanised wire ensuring both strength and maximum life span. Flexible and self cleaning they are available in mesh sizes from 20mm to 110mm. Many, many sizes are available in increments of one mm in many instances (see screen sizes page). Tong Peal carry a large stock of steel grading screens and should we have to manufacture the item we endeavour to do so within a few days.

Hexagonal Mesh Metal Screens - These are used primarily for grading onions. Again manufactured from 4mm diameter galvanised wire ensuring both strength and maximum life span. Flexible and self cleaning they are available in mesh sizes from 38mm to 110mm.

Repair parts - If a metal screen is damaged (usually by pieces of wood, metal or stones etc....) then the damaged section can be repaired. Numerous options are available from individual components, sets of hooks, repair kits (set of hooks with 3 castellated wires and straight wires if required) or a hook end or centre repair section fully assembled.

Plastic screens - Each plastic screen is hand prepared from moulded sections which are pieced together and joined with rods of galvanised steel to make a grading screen. Heavy duty stainless steel joining hooks make the joining simple and the light weight of the screen makes fitting easy. Flexible, lightweight and with a large surface diameter they are available in mesh sizes from 30mm to 80mm in increments of 5mm (see screen sizes page). All screen orders are normally supplied within a few days if they are not in stock.

Rubber screens - Manufactured from durable reinforced heavy duty rubber. Designed with the minimum weight and short changeover times rubber screens are extremely gentle on the crop. They are available in square, hexagonal and round formats.
